Systematic review
The ISM collaboration is the
group of researchers who are collectively
working towards creating a new database
containing the systematic reviews of ‘therapeutic safety,
efficacy and diagnostic profiles of Indian Systems of Medicine’.
This group is working towards creating consensus on the
methodology and future direction on developing Indian Systems of
Medicine (ISM) in this new paradigm of secondary research that would
have a profound impact on primary clinical studies. At the moment the
program is supported by NSTMIS division of Department of Science &
Technology, Government of India. It is proposed to develop this international
collaboration in line with centers like Joanna Briggs Institute, Australia and
Cochrane skin centre, England. The membership to this collaboration has no
fee and is offered to only those who are keen on the critical analysis of
Indian Systems of Medicine and willing to contribute for the propagation of
evidence based ISM. The ISM Collaboration shall develop a course
curriculum for young volunteers (students, post graduates and junior
faculty) of any specialty (ayurveda, allopathy and others) including
non medical personnel and patients interested in research in
ISM. Success of this group would lead to developing a
strong international collaboration and a Library
of systematic reviews of ISM within
next decade.
