Former Director, Kasturba Trust, Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Padmashree T G K Menon a social worker in Madhya Pradesh since   1961 and  the former  director  of   Kasthurba trust Indore .  He is a recipient of   Padmashree in 1991.

In addition  he was honored with the  Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshamitra award in  1986 , Lal bahadur Shastri award in 1988, Jamanlal  Bajaj  award for  taking  science  and  technology  for  rural  development in 1989,  Bhoomiputra   national award in  1996  and Indira Gandhi  samaj  seva puraskar in  2001 .

He has taken up the cause of taking integrative treatment to lakhs of homes in rural India to help over 2.3 crore Filariasis patients who are disabled and poor.  On his  request  PMO has appointed a team  of expert to visit IAD  to evaluate the efforts made by us in the  treatment  of  lymphoedema  and  lymphatic Filariasis
