Rtd. Professor of dermatology, Medical College,  Kozhikode

A 1970,  graduate of Seth GS Medical College, Bombay. Joined the Dept. of Dermatology in 1973 . MD dermatology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi 1977

 Diploma in Venereology  from the Society of Apothecaries, London in 1978.

Worked mainly in Calicut. Professor and Head of Dermatology from 1991 till voluntary retirement in 1999 after a brief stint at Medical College, Alleppey. Presently working as Consultant Dermatologist, PVS Hospital, Calicut and Visiting Professor of Dermatology AIMS, Kochi. Presented several papers at State, National and South zone conferences and has published papers in National and International journals. Was the chairperson of the Scientific Committee of the South Zone Conference held at Calicut in 1995. Member of many professional bodies including The American Academy of Dermatology since 1991.Office bearer of The Malabar Dermatology Club in various capacities during  1996-2001 and has organized a number of workshops and conferences for the club. Philanthropic activities --- associated with Suman Rehabilitation Centre for women and conducts a free clinic once weekly at the centre. She is the co-founder of IAD
