Dr Kamakshan Kokkal Graduated and Postgraduated from Calicut University and Did his PhD in IIT Bombay. Earlier he Worked as “Scientist” in the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management, worked as “Research Associate” (Lecturer)  in the Department of Applied Geology, University of Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. He was discharging duties as Principal Scientific Officer & Head, Coastal and Environmental Division in Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment ,  at the capacity of Principal Scientific Officer, now Recently  promoted as Joint Director, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment, Govt. of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram
