INSTITUTE OF APPLIED DERMATOLOGY (IAD) Kasaragod (A nonprofit oriented, charitable nongovernmental organization for health systems research) has developed an integrated approach for the treatment for Lymphatic block due to primary, secondary, traumatic and Filarial Lymphoedema (Elephantiasis). We have also developed integrated treatment protocol for Vitiligo, psoriasis, lichen planus and other skin diseases by effectively combining Ayurveda, Allopathy, Homoeopathy, Physiotherapy and Yoga.

“After a long time I can finally take a bath without pain and difficulty", Janardhan told doctors on the 11th day of his treatment. Janardhan, a 24-year-old young man, was suffering from Filariasis (Elephantiasis) for the past 20 years; his left leg weighed 18 kg. He could barely make it out of bed most days. Janardhan became an outcast in his own family, his mother and brothers refused to talk to him. His father, a school teacher, consulted many doctors but to no avail. Now, after six months of treatment at IAD, his left leg weighs only 6 kg.
